22 Jun 2023 CatEagle team done simultaneous interpreting at Sabah Kota Kinabalu Shangrila Hotel, for the Singapoe company Indiba. Rehearsal done on 21 Jun late evening. The SIS Equipment team work from 8pm till 5am in the morning just to identify the right transmission and noise free five different frequencies.
CatEagle mobilized 7 interpreters and 2 SIS equipment engineers. English, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. Last minutes client request Cantonese, so we have to split our interpreters with one person working on Mandarin and one person working on Cantonese, and another trip from KL to bring in the transmitter and the extra 30 Receivers. Therefore the SI become solo interpreting. Also last minutes our CatEagle Vietnamese interpreter cos of illness and recovering, need to rest, so we change another Vietnamese interpreter last minutes. It’s a pure technical job and tough ! We done our best and in God we Trust!
