The FMEA Methodology

The FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) methodology is of paramount important because it enable the organizations to proactively identify and address potential failures in a system, process, or design before they really or practically occur, leading to improved reliability, safety, quality, and cost savings by mitigating risks at early stage, push back on in the development phase essentially after all, it helps prevent problems from happening by anticipating potential issues and taking preventative actions, such as Poka Yoke or preventive measurement, or corrective actions.
FMEA helps to early identification of risks, calculate the risk factors, prioritization of critical failures, improved product quality and reliability, kaizen cum continuous improvement, cost reduction, enhance safety, collaboration and communication.
The more FMEA listing and input, the better this company can continue with KAIZEN and eventually reduce cost and improve profits. The success and failure of a company much depend on the FMEA implementations.
